Chainsaw Man, Part 2 is a manga by FUJIMOTO Tatsuki (藤本タツキ) on the online platform Shonen Jump + by the publisher Shueisha. The author is famous for his unconstrained imagination and drawing style. He has numerous great works including the serialized Fire Punch (on the magazine Shonen Jump), and two short pieces Look Back and Goodbye, Eri.
Chainsaw Man is probably the most influential work by Fujimoto, attracting readers from different countries to enjoy his mindfucking world where demons and humans coexist. At the time Chainsaw Man was one of the most liked manga series on the paper magazine Shonen Jump until the end of Part 1 at the end of 2020.
Today (July 13, 2022), Chainsaw Man, Part 2 started again on the online platform Shonen Jump +. On the first episode, there is this stunning scene where the character Mitaka takes out her teacher Mr Tanaka’s spine cord and makes it a weapon called Tanaka Spinal Cord Sword. It’s a typical Fujimoto Tatsuki style creation, and moving to an online platform (usually with less constraints compared to a paper magazine in Japan) significantly liberates more of his nature.
Also, the anime of Chainsaw Man (Part 1 only) is coming this year, another work greatly anticipated by fans all over the world.
